St Albans District is situated within the Metropolitan Green Belt and within easy reach of London. It has a resident population of around 131,000 and covers an area of 63 square miles. St Albans itself is a historic cathedral city which offers a pleasing environment in which to work.
The ideal candidate will have up to date Housing & Council Tax Benefits Assessment experience and be able to process, calculate and assess all types of Council Tax Benefit and Housing Benefit claims accurately. Current and comprehensive knowledge of benefit legislation is essential.
An excellent communicator, you will have a flexible approach to work and be working as part of a team dedicated to providing first class customer service with the ability to work on your own initiative.
You will be computer literate with ideally previous experience of using IWorld V.6 (Northgate) systems with proven skills in a core Revenues and Benefits systems using document imaging, preferably Civica.
