4 GCSEs including English & Mathematics or equivalent, or experience working with children and young people. Community Learning and Information Services’ Out of Hours Learning Network is seeking to recruit Relief Assistant Out of Hours Learning Officers to provide ‘as and when‘ cover in our study centres. You will be required to assist the centre’s Senior Out of Hours Learning Officer to provide a welcoming, comfortable, safe environment in which children and young people can participate in a wide range of learning activities. Experience of working with children and young people is essential, as are good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. ICT skills are advantageous. An understanding of the National Curriculum is also desirable. Sessions normally commence at 3.30 pm during the week but some variations do exist particularly during school holidays.
