Our Transport & Environment Directorate is undertaking an exciting period of modernisation. One that will enable us to focus on our principal objectives – efficiency, health & safety, customer focus, performance, equality & diversity and reducing our environmental footprint. You’ll have a high profile role to play in this, with specific responsibility for our Delivery division that devises, plans and strategically addresses the £multi-million areas of Highways Network and Maintenance and Transport and Environmental Operations. It’s an immense challenge where the net result of your work will mean safer more efficient roads, better public transport networks, rights of way and managing our waste legacy.
You’ll be a proven leader with a demonstrable track record in delivering a complex strategic vision. This will be matched with real commercial awareness, as well as an understanding of political sensitivities, genuine credibility and a pragmatic approach. Ultimately, it’s all about driving the delivery of our aims and objectives and ensuring that every single person in the county feels the benefit.
The salary for this position is £70,362 to 76,893 per annum (Local Managerial Grade 7).
