Joining the Business Support team within East Surrey Highways, your efforts will be pivotal in this busy role, dealing with the administration of the group to ensure we continue to offer the highest levels of service.
Responsible for incoming and outgoing correspondence, you will open, log and distribute post, registering skip and banner requests on the system, as well as, demands for licences, including scaffolding, hoarding and vehicle crossovers. In continuous liaison with members of the public and the Shared Service and Contact Centres, you will contribute to customer contact tracking systems, including CONFIRM, enabling our engineers to respond in a way that fulfils the customer charter. In addition to carrying out general business support and administration duties, managing office supplies and assisting with inventories, you will operate a frontline service for both telephone and personal callers, taking messages and covering colleagues to deal with a wide range of issues.
With a good standard of literacy and numeracy, you will have administrative experience, ideally in a customer service environment, where you developed your IT and communication skills. Enthusiastic, self-motivated and a dedicated team player, you will know how to deal with the public and must share our passion for the putting the customer first.
