An opportunity has arisen within Homefield Place for an Assistant Cook.
Homefield Place is a Day Centre providing daily care, support and rehabilitation to a range of older service users with varied needs, enhancing the quality of life for individuals using our service and catering for up to 25 to 27 service users a day.
The requirements and aspects of the role are as follows:
- Previous experience of working within a commercial catering or kitchen environment preferred and the main role of the post is to assist in the preparation of meals and maintenance of kitchen hygiene to the standards set.
- To undertake cooks duties in the absence of the cook.
- A willingness to undertake relevant training.
- To undertake the cooking of meals in accordance with menus.
- To undertake general duties within the kitchen including cleaning kitchen equipment, cupboards, etc.
