This opportunity would suit a Graduate in Surveying or Engineering who is interested in a career in Building Control. You should have the ability to work in a busy environment and be confident in dealing with the full range of Building Control customers and the general public, providing general advice and guidance. You should also have the willingness to undergo further training to achieve corporate membership of the RICS or ABE

The post contains elements of working within the office and also on construction sites to support an established professional Building Control team in providing a high level of service and to help ensure that the Council fulfills its statutory obligation

This post also attracts: Flexible working hours and payment of one professional association fee.

Thurrock is a Unitary Authority and is part of the Thames Gateway area; our work ranges from very large industrial/commercial developments, retail areas including Lakeside Shopping centre and volume housing.
