An opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiastic person to join the Parks and Open Spaces Team, within the Community Services Department. You will work throughout the Borough and undertake the sweeping and removal of waste materials from highways and public open spaces in order to improve the cleanliness of the Borough and assist in maintaining the public open spaces, parks, children’s play grounds, and any other similar areas identified by the Area Councils by carrying out light weeding, pruning and tidying

You will report to the Parks and Open Spaces Operations Team Leader but will have your workload set by local Councillors to tackle any areas which they feel are in need of extra attention within their Area Council boundaries. If successful you will become a valued member of our front line operational staff and, as such, will need to work both on your own initiative and within a team. A current driving license is essential for this post holder.
