At Leisure Warrington we are redesigning our service and are now looking to appoint an Aquatics Development Officer who is highly motivated and passionate about developing opportunities for participation and teaching to support, sustain and develop aquatics across several key focus areas.

This is an exciting new opportunity where the successful candidate can make a real impact by leading the development of the Aquatics Warrington Programme.

In this role you will

  • manage a team of Aquatic Co-ordinators, Swim Teachers and Coaches including the delivery of an education and mentoring programme.
  • develop effective local partnerships with key stakeholders to enable the successful sustainable development of aquatic opportunities in Warrington
  • raise the profile of aquatics at a local level e.g. swimming development forum, club meetings, school swimming.
  • ensure a balanced programme of aquatic opportunities in all Leisure Centres
  • use aquatics as a way to promote health and wellbeing generally, and specifically in those communities where health inequalities are most prevalent
  • ensure the Orford Park development plays a key role in providing a balanced programme of opportunity in Warrington encouraging sustained and increased participation

Qualified to ASA Tutor standard, you will have experience of working in the aquatics development field and knowledge of its structures at a local, regional and national level.

If you are highly motivated and passionate about developing aquatics, are an excellent communicator with effective interpersonal skills and a background of working with a wide range of partners this could be the role for you.

CRB clearance will be required.
