Community Services has a diverse range of responsibilities, which contribute to the success of the County Council and to the daily lives of all Staffordshire citizens. Its purpose includes securing the well being of Staffordshire’s citizens and communities through leadership and influence over resources.
An opportunity has arisen to join the Community Services team working with the Welfare Benefits and Fairer charging team. This role includes research on welfare right and financial inclusion, advice and information on welfare benefits and fairer charging to the eight districts within Staffordshire County Council, and to devise and deliver strategies working with other stakeholders.
We are looking for a graduate (or similar) who can research and analyse a wide range of relevant subject matter. You must have excellent communication, report writing and presentational skills.
You will manage training sessions, research and projects and will motivate and influence others. Good IT skills are a must, and you must be able work on your own or as part of the team.
You may be experienced in research or project management (public/voluntary sector) but a basic understanding of local authorities is required and ideally you will have experience of community working.
