You will join the Contracts and Care Placements Unit responsible for the contracting of social care services to residents in Cambridgeshire. The post is temporary to cover maternity leave until March 2010 and you will be working as part of a team of 6 administrators. The role will be to provide a wide variety of administrative tasks around the contracting processes, including servicing meetings, IT, secretarial duties and file maintenance. You will need to have excellent communication skills, as they are essential for the role as is the ability to work as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be educated to GCSE standard with an A-C grade in English & Mathematics (or equivalent standard) and have demonstrable ability and experience of using Microsoft packages (including: word, excel and outlook). He/she must be self-motivated and have a flexible approach to work to deal with set deadlines and varying workloads. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential. Training and practical assistance will be provided as well as the opportunity to gain valuable experience to enable further career development.
