North East Lincolnshire Council has developed The Administration and Clerical Talent Pool (ACTP) for roles that involve administrative and clerical duties.

The Council has been striving to bring together the recruitment processes for these sorts of roles in order to create a more convenient and consistent application experience for candidates.

Deputy Leader of the Council, Keith Brookes said: “The ACTP is a superb system that has been put in place in a bid to make recruiting more straight-forward and less time consuming for candidates. They only have to complete one application form and one assessment rather than several for the period of time they remain in the ACTP”.

The ACTP is accessible from the Council’s website on the jobs and careers page and covers a variety of positions including Administrative Assistants, Human Resources Assistants, Library Assistants, Clerical Assistants and Data Clerks to name but a few.

Members of the public without computers at home are able to access the internet in local libraries — and for those who wish to join the North East Lincolnshire Council’s Job Club, usage is free of charge.

Once accessed, applicants are asked to complete a short on-line form in order to register their interest and suitability for roles of this nature. Candidates who pass successfully through the application stage are then invited to take part in an assessment centre to take part in a range of activities to test their skills and abilities.

Candidates who achieve the required criteria are then put forward for interviews when appropriate vacancies arise.
