Plaistow Primary School and Children’s Centre
Junction Road, Plaistow, E13 9DQ
Admin, Data and Finance Officer – Scale 4
£16,736 – £18,472inc, pa
36 Hours per week – Working hours 8.30am to 4.15pm.
40 weeks per year (term time only + 5 days holiday working tbc at SBM discretion)
We wish to appoint an experienced Administrative Assistant from April 2012 or sooner.
Plaistow is a large, rapidly improving inner city school with a strong commitment to inclusive practice. We have great children who are eager to learn, a committed staff team with supportive Governors and Parents. Opened in 2002 the school is well resourced and offers a vibrant and friendly learning environment.
We are looking for someone who is experienced; self motivated and has a friendly, honest, reliable and approachable character.
Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent Administrative and I.T skills using a wide variety of forums such as Word, Excel, Publisher and SIM’s. A good knowledge and understanding of Financial systems is an advantage as is the experience of working within a multi-agency setting.
You should be able to work well in a team, and be able to develop relationships with all parents and stakeholders, adhere to and uphold all policy and procedures applicable to your role and the school.
Purpose of the Job
• To assist the School Business Manager in the day to day running of the school and children’s centre.
• To provide administrative support to school staff
• To provide a welcoming and safe environment for all visitors to the school and children’s centre.
• To support the ethos and aims of the setting
