Centre of Independent Living Development Project Officer

£31,761 – £34,542 per annum inclusive, pro rata for 17.5 hours per week – Ref: 4260

Merton Centre for Independent Living will be a grassroots partnership run and controlled by disabled people. Their aims are to assist disabled people take control over their lives and achieve full participation in Merton & wider society

The Steering Group will identify the most appropriate development model to ensure that Merton CIL has sufficient infrastructure, capacity and sustainability in order to achieve its broad objectives

The CIL Development Project Worker will play a key role in driving change and leading on continuous service improvement by establishing a new, user-led Centre for Independent Living (CIL), in Merton, which will enable disabled people to exercise choice and control over their lives.

To fulfil this role you will need to be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the needs and issues of disabled people, substantial experience of leading change and people and delivering complex projects and be committed to a culture of user led initiatives and delivery.

A CRB check will be required for this post.
