Senior Electoral Services Officer
£26,139 – £32,283 per annum inclusive – Ref: 4096
Merton is meeting the challenges of modern electoral administration by strengthening its staff team.
This opportunity would suit a keen and motivated person who is already working in an electoral office and wants to take the next step. We would also consider someone with other relevant administrative experience. This post is career graded and we would look to appoint at the bottom of the scale and provide training.
You will need to be versatile and be capable of working with speed and accuracy in an often highly pressurised environment to enhance our service to Merton’s diverse population. Working with another Senior Electoral Services Officer, you will take a lead on voter registration and absent voter administration. You will also be providing key support and staff supervision skills for the Principal Electoral Services Officer and the Electoral Services Manager, particularly at election times. This will require an ability to communicate well with all levels of staff and public, and to maximise the use of our IT systems.
